1. Introduction

PodBriefing ("we", "us", or "the Service") is operated at podcasts.rh7labs.com. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information — your email address and hashed password when you sign up.
  • Podcast data — subscriptions you select, episode metadata (titles, descriptions, publish dates), and AI-generated summaries and scores.
  • YouTube OAuth data — if you connect a YouTube account, we request read-only access to your subscriptions and channel list. We do not access private videos or modify your YouTube account in any way.
  • Usage data — basic server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide AI-generated podcast summaries, interest scores, and audio briefings tailored to your subscriptions.
  • To generate and deliver your personal RSS feed with narrated briefings.
  • To improve the quality and relevance of summaries and scoring.
  • YouTube subscription data is used solely to suggest relevant podcast and video sources within the Service.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on infrastructure provided by Vercel (application hosting) and Neon (PostgreSQL database). Both providers operate within the United States and maintain industry-standard security practices. All connections are encrypted in transit via TLS.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Episode content may be sent to AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) solely for the purpose of generating summaries — no personal user data is included in these requests.

6. Data Retention

Your account data and podcast preferences are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Revoke YouTube OAuth access at any time via your Google Account permissions.
